Because of school and other commitments Jessie and her family decided  Wise Lee needed to find a home where he could do his job.  He was sold April 2008 to a Ruthanne on the West Coast.

Good Luck Ruthanne.

Peggy,
I am thrilled with Wise Lee. I wanted to compliment you on the good brains you breed into your  Haflingers. He is so much fun. Everything I have asked him to do he does. Good in his stall, good in the cross ties, tacking he is a good boy. ...  They know they are strong, and I can see where they could push a timid person around they have such cute personalities and are so attractive, folks forget these are horses. I have to remind my clients when I am at the big barn with him, no treats he always thinks he is starving, and not to spoil him. I love the way he has been trained. Good work ethic. There is not a client in the barn who would not want to have him as their own.  My husband is not one to make over a horse in public, yet he walks Wise Lee most of the time for me down to the Big barn ,so I can ride in the covered arena, and does not grumble about it. He was taken with him the moment he stepped off the trailer. ....

Jessie Showing Wise Lee at his first recognized Dressage show in Mason City, Iowa.

I found LMP Farm online when searching for a family horse that could also compete in dressage.  I fell in love with the sweet face of the Haflinger pictured, and I liked the fact that some of the LMP horses were used for hippotherapy, so we made a trip to LMP Farm.  Driving up to the farm, we saw beautiful blonde horses everywhere we looked.  It felt like we should have brought a basket to pick handfuls of Haflingers like berries.  We looked at several horses before we saw WiseLee, who turned out to be the perfect horse for us.  We have enjoyed owning WiseLee for over two years - he is now five years old.  He has successfully competed at local and regional dressage shows with our daughter Jessie, winning a high point award in 2006 at the Region 4 Youth Championship show in Mason City, Iowa.  He has also been a marvelous family horse for all of us to enjoy.  I have found him to be the most willing, generous, and intelligent horse that I have ridden.  He inspires confidence and is sensible and sane on the trails.  He is just a delight to be around and is quite a character.  I only wish that I would have found out about this amazing breed years ago.  It has been wonderful getting to know Peggy and the LMP Farm family.  They are an invaluable source of knowledge about the Haflinger breed and do a great job of matching horses to owners.
